Diagnosis:

  • MRI: near total absence of cerebral cortex and basal ganglia. Thalami, pons, cerebral peduncles, cerebellum are present. Parts of frontal, temporal, occipital lobe may be present. i.e. loss of structures supplied by the internal carotid arteries.
